We have recieved our first pictures!
Pictures are flooding in!
It is true, we have now received our first pictures of tagged vehicles! We have a red van (as seen on the main page) a caravan and what I am promised is a Rover (JPG corruption, sender is re-sending).
So this is a huge thank you to the people that have allowed this to happen, to the people that have made one man very happy when checking his emails and finding nestled between a Russian girl claiming to need £10k and another Myspace comment these gems!
The day before these were received was a sad day, I was becoming depressed about the project, it was beginning to fail again, I was beginning to lose interest, having a life seemed to be the better option! But then up poped my email, and there it was! THE FIRST PICTURES!!!
I'm not usually a guy to get excited about too much, but this had me up on my feet, as I downloaded the attachment I was actually willing it to come down quicker, waiting, holding my breath, desperate to make sure it wasn't a hoax! And then this happened!
Imagine my disapointment, the anti-climax was unbeliveable! I felt as though someone had shown me my christmas presents and then taken them away to burn them! But wait, this email has 2, yes 2 pictures attached.....and the excitment begins to build again! As the PC slowly (i'm sure it knew I wanted them badly) begins to reveal the picture to me, I can see its good, and I can see its a red van.
But then again another slight disappointment, the name, my name has no "H" in it, its a blow but not a huge one. We're still getting the point across and I'll just edit the meta tags and stuff to include "John". But how good is this, people are listening, people are contributing, people are tagging vehicles for me, this thing may just take off yet!
What next?
Next I attack! This again has pulled it out the bag for me, after the dissapointment of little to no interest pre March 2007, in March alone I had over 7500 hits, so far in April 2007, that being a full 4 days so far, I've had over 700 hits! At that sort of rate I'm looking down the barrell of over 5250 hits in April without anymore promotion etc.
But as you probably know by now, I'm not a man that will just let this wash over me, I'll embrace this, I'll go out and get more hits. My latest genius idea was the whoring of my web address on myspace. Everybody I know, comment comment comment! Every comment, message everything gets my logo and link added to it.
So anyway..........
This was just a quick blog to let anybody who reads this know that I am still alive and blogging, I'm currently in the process of constructing a follow up to the Mutant Powers blog, helped in no small part by the one and only Richard Minshaw of Minshaw.co.uk. I say follow up, its more just along the same lines and involves more "fictional characters".
